Announcement: 2016 Arizona Distinguished Lecturer
The Program Committee for the 2016 Arizona Physiological Society Annual Meeting is pleased to announce that the 2016 Arizona Distinguished Lecturer is Dr. Wayne Willis.
Dr. Willis is an Associate Professor in the Department of Kinesiology at Arizona State University. His research focuses on the mechanisms of energy transduction in mitochondria (from skeletal muscle, liver, and heart). One of his most recent publications presents a simple hydraulic analog model for the thermokinetics of mitochondrial energy transduction.
The title of the 2016 Arizona Distinguished Lecture is:
"Taking Heed Of Kelvin's Wisdom As We Study Mitochondrial Physiology"
Dr. Willis will be providing a historical context to mitochondrial research with insights from his own scholarly career that continue to shape the field as it moves forward.
Join us at the 2016 Arizona Physiological Society Annual Meeting to hear Dr. Willis' talk. The meeting will take place on October 21-22, 2016. You can submit an abstract by clicking here!
