Welcome to the new site!
Times are certainly changing.
Back when the society was founded in 2008, there was recognition that a website would be a convenient way to share news and manage registration/membership forms. In addition, a web presence would also serve as an avenue with which to demonstrate the forward-looking attitude of the society and its desire to persevere well into the future. The AZPS website has gone through a number of iterations through the years (2010-2012, 2013-2014, 2015-2016). Here we are, over 8 years later and the society is still going strong. However, in those 8 years, web page design has undergone substantial evolution.
In order to adapt to those changes, the AZPS site has received a major facelift.
A highly visual, blog/news entry design has been implemented. Clicking on the title within the image will take you to the associated post. You can also comment on blog posts, like them, or share them on social media.
Speaking of social media...
The society now has a Facebook page and a Twitter account. Clicking the icons in navigation bar (upper right corner of each page) will take you to the relevant social media page for the society. Keep up with news and happenings by following those accounts or use them as a convenient way to interact with other members!
Feedback is most welcome! You can use the contact form on this website to send us a message, chat with us through social media, or email us directly! Contact details for executive committee members can be found on the "Officers" page. Website/social media specific comments should preferably be sent to John Kanady, though (he is the one most involved with the digital side of the society).
We hope you enjoy the new look and functionality!
Dr. Kanady is a lecturer for the Department of Physiology at the University of Arizona. You can connect with him on Twitter @JDKPhD.
